Summer Learning Journey
Week 3.
Activity 2: Overcome Adversity
For this activity I have chosen a challenging thing that my mum had to overcome. I 2018 when I was at my dads my mum was trying to move a peice of furniture and ended up hurting her back really bad. She couldn't move it and my nana who lives next door called an ambulance. My mum couldn't move her back she just laid in that hospital bed for ages. She missed our christmas trip to Motuaka. Apparantly she had an infection between the discs of her spine. She had to have a line of antibiotics into her heart, she had to get taught how to care for herself with the antibiotics. Her muscle had all deteriated, and ended up walking like a 90 year old, she then attended a physio. After a matter of months she could walk without feeling in pain. The bandage over my mums arm in the photo is where the medicine is put into her-------------------------------------------->
This photo was taken when we went to the movies after she got cleared to leave the hospital.
Thank you for reading this🙋

Hi Georgia,
ReplyDeleteYour mum is an amazing lady to have gone through this and to be who she is today. Who knew doing something so simple can cause so much pain. I am glad that she is ok now. What was the movie that you went to? This movie will always be a reminder of the day you had with your mum and why you were there.
