15.04.20 Short story starters

15.04.20
I have been writing some short story's this morning and I would like to share them with you here are some examples of my work, in the comments write which short story was your favourite.

Atlantic!
The water was rising up to the land, soon, thousands of lights sparkled against the dark backdrop of the colossal skyscrapers were being extinguished one by one, as the monstrous buildings were gradually disappearing under the dark tides; banished to a watery grave beneath the lonely depths of the ocean floor. Nobody knew what had caused the great flood. There had not been time to stop and think.

Sleeping Giants!
For thousands of years, he had been sleeping now he was awake. The ground began to shake. A colossal, monstrous hand, which had been lying motionless in a seemingly eternal slumber just minutes earlier, emerged from the earth. There was an almighty groan........

Rise of the machine!
As the cogs began to turn once again, a flicker of light sparked from within, watching, waiting, anticipating its first move. The rise of the machine was imminent.........

Walking on water!
How was it possible? Was it  a miracle? Seeming to barely touch the surface of water, he embarked on his journey across the ocean.........

Professor Plum!
Professor Plum had been locked away in his laboratory for days now, barely even stopping to eat or drink. He rested his left arm on the dusty pile of books scattered across his desk, and with his right hand he gently flicked the conical flask in front of him. The red and orange liqud inside coughed and sputtered as heat from the Bunsen burner exited it from below. Professor plum wiped his weary eyes; only the excitement of finally finishing the potion kept him awake. Just a few more hours, then it would be ready.......

Thank you for reading my short story's🙋

You have also used punctuation consistently throughout your text, ka pai! All of your stories are incredibly enticing and have me wanting to read more! I hope you are planning to add more to these stories.
All of these stories are incredible, I can't pick a favourite. Perhaps next time you could add a picture to go with your drawings.. Even a cover to one of the stories. Your blog is a great place to show off your incredible artistic abilities.
Keep up the great work Georgia! I look forward to seeing what you get up to next.
