Summer Learning Journey
Week 3.
Day 2: Through Careful Observation
Chose one of the two pictures and describe it to us. When I look at it what can I see? Study and observe the painting closely. The picture I chose is in the top right hand corner of the blog. Below is my description.
This painting is beautiful! The black and the white contrast really well, if you look close enough you can see that the picture is the same on both sides. But where the birds are, its inverted. The left half of the painting is white with shades of black and the right side is black with shades of white. If you look closely at the birds you can see that some of the black birds wing fits just in the white ones tail. This picture is extrordinary, I love it!
Thank you for reading this🙋

Hi Georgia,
ReplyDeleteI really like that picture too. It's very effective at tricking the eye isn't it? Well done for using the word 'inverted' in your description. It made me look more closely at it. Have you seen other pictures like this anywhere? I have seen some at Puzzling World in Wanaka. They have art prints with lots of mind-bending images.
