Summer Learning Journey
Week 4.
Day 5: En Pointe

For this activity, please chose your favourite inspirational quote from this website. Create a text graphic using this quote. On your blog, share your text graphic and underneath it, explain what it means to you.

Up above in the right hand corner is my quote "WHY ARE YOU TRYING TO FIT IN WHEN YOU WERE BORN TO STAND OUT?  -DR. SEUSS". This quote means something to me because ever since I started i the upper middle syndicate to the seniors I always tried to fit in, because when I was younger if it was dress up day I would dress up and wacky hair day, mufti etc. But growing up I tried to fit in because older kids always made fun of you and judged you. But now I believe in this quote. I changed the original picture with the quote to this.
Thank you for reading this🙋

  1. Kia ora Georgia,

I LOVE this quote, too! I really admire how you now believe in this quote! It is so important we are ourselves, no one is the same.
You are an incredible young woman and you were definitely born to stand out!
Do you have any other favourite quotes? Dr Seuss has some other amazing ones like, 'be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind'.

I have given you a Digital AWHI for not only your amazing post, but also for completing the Summer Learning Journey!

I hope you have an incredible birthday and I look forward to hearing all about it tomorrow morning.

    :)

  2. Hi Georgia,

I also love this quote. You have brought back some memories for me. My youngest daughter would wear giant fairy wings to the Belfast disco or a tiara on top of a cap...why? because she was born to stand out!
My favorite quote is 'Always remember you are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, smarter than you think and loved more than you know'
