For this week I've done some art work. I have done 3 drawings some with crayons pens and even pastels. I hope you enjoy! I used the colour wheel and did some hot colours with cool colours, and some contrasting. Enjoy! In the comments, comment which one is your favourite picture!



1. This is a sihlouette of a womens dress from the back I did the dress with different shades of blue to contrast the black figure with something bright. I had to blend each colour and I started with dark to the top and continue down with lighter blues.

















                       
2. This is a dress I designed. It has a triangle neck     
 line with cherry blossom fabric, but the lining of
the fabric is white. Then the dress is still the cherry
blossom fabric with folds in the side and matching
 pink heels.


















3. This is a picture of a black boring eye, but spurts of colour pop out almost like creativity! I've used hot and cool colours to contrast against the boring eye. The way the colours spurt out it kinda makes a shape of a diamond, I must of done that unconciously.

Week 4.
Day 2: Girl Power


For this activity, we would like you to chose one role model and tell us all about them. What makes them a role model? They can be people you know personally, people you have seen on television or the internet, people you have heard on the radio or people you have heard about from a friend or family member. You do not have to know them personally. On your blog, tell us about your chosen role model. Please be sure to tell us why you think they are a role model.

In he 1950's to the 1960's black men an women were forced to be seperated by everyone else. At this time, there were laws that kept black and white people seperated - they went to different schools,used different toilets and even sat in different parts of the bus. They ate in different areas of a restaurant. This was called segregation. With these type of laws there were many protests against them. Joining these protests was an African American women named Rosa Parks. In 1955 Rosa Parks boarded a bus in Alabama and because of segregation all the seats that were meant for the black people were taken up so she decided she would sit in the white section of the bus. But on one of the stops she refused to give up her seat on the bus to a white passenger. This brave action that Rosa Parks did, made history and changed the way that African Americans (people of colour) got treated in America. What Rosa Parks did put every other black advicater out of the books. she did what no other girl/lady would ever think of doing! Rosa Parks changed the way Americans and every other country think about treating others. Rosa Parks is a role model because she was an independent women, speaker for her people and is brave. She was an African American civil rights activist, when Rosa Parks did not give her seat up in Alabama she showed extreme bravery courage and then changed the segregation is today and forever!

Week 1.

For this activity you need to create your own logo. Your logo will reflect the name and what product or service the company sells. You will need to come up with your own company name. Think carefully about what your brand stands for and the product or service that your company sells.

I couldn't decide on just one because I want to be a chef/cook when I grow up and also bake I did a logo for my resturant and one for my bakery. I had to be a bit creative, I couldn't use the link that the technology teachers set up for us so I just had to draw it.

Activity 3: The Diary Of Anne Frank

For this activity, we would like you to imagine that you have a -diary. In your diary please write a short story about your most extraordinary day. What happened? You can tell us about the actual event or you can make one up. Its totally up to you! Please be as creative as you can. On your blog post a diary entry about your extraordinary day. Please start your post with the words "Dear Diary".

Dear Diary, today is the last day of the term for the year of 2019. We are all leaving school but in a few hours we will be attending the UMS and Senior prize giving. The prize giving is when the principal and facilty hand out acknowledgements and awards, then at the end the principal tells the students who will be in the prefect team for 2020! I really want to be apart of the prefect team, my desired spot on the Prefect Team is Head Girl. But I will be happy with any position if I get in or not. The suspense was killing me, she calls out the other prefects and I'm so happy for them, my best friends got spots on the Prefect Team, Georgia Barrett got Deputy Head Girl and Carma Harris got Yellow House Captain! Shes about to announce Head Girl................................. GEORGIA SWALE! I'm Head Girl! :). I was so exited, I got a badge a jacket and the privilage of being selected. After the prize giving basically every teacher in the school congratulated me, including some of my closest friends parents giving hugs and saying well done! I ended up getting a photo with the principal Mrs Elley and my super cool and amazing teacher Miss Rogers! When I got home I got gifts and hugs from my grandparents and my mum showed of to everyone about me getting Head Girl at the Christmas party my family holds.  One of the things that I enjoyed was that my dad showed up! He loves me dearly but he doesn't come to a lot of school events. He was super proud of me. On top of getting Head Girl I also got the Values Award from my class! P.S My mother cried so much! Her words not mine :)! I owe it all to my mum for teaching me to do everything you can to reach your goal. She supported me in going out for extra curriculars and school projects etc.  Thanks for listing Diary! :)

Activity 2: Romeo and Juliet

For this activity, we would like you to learn about 'Shakespearean English' - the version of English that Shakespeare used to write his plays. To do this, please write a short recount about what you did  this morning in regular (2019) English, and then use this translating tool English to Shakespearean to turn it into shakespearean English. This morning I woke up before my mother, it was seven o'clock on a Tuesday morning. We both had a bowl of delicous piping hot porridge for breakfast. She then headed to work for the day and I stayed at home with my brother doing our school work. It was cold, rainy and cloudy day in Christchurch.

Shakespearean

Day 1: Rags To Riches



For this activity, design a book cover for your favourite book. You will need to think about what needs to be on the cover (the title, author, illistrator), pictures, colour, etc. Please create all the images yourself (draw or photograh) rather than using images you find online. On your blog, share the book cover you have designed. My chosen book to re-design its cover is Billionare Boy by David Williams. Billionare Boy is a riches to rags story, the main boy is super rich, hes the richest kid in the world because his dad made a lot of money by making a toilet paper called Bum Fresh. But after a few years of it on the market it started to make peoples bums purple. So in the end he got sued and lost all his money and ended living with his best friend from public school and his mum, the mum of his best friend and his dad ended up getting married and the two best friends became best brothers. Below here is a picture of my re-design for the book Billionare Boy.
